Parents helping your child at home

The children in Early Years and KS1 use a phonics scheme called Floppy's Phonics Sounds and Letters. This is rigorous and systematic phonics programme which helps children to learn to read and spell well. It is enhanced by a range of Fiction and Non-Fiction books for reading practice at home. This works alongside our main reading scheme, Oxford Reading Tree, which is used not only in KS1, but across school. Whilst Oxford Reading Tree is our main scheme we also have Project X, Code X and Rigby Stars as our group reading schemes.
